Girls Tennis beat the Wolverines

Memorial edges West in Classic 8 dual 

WAUKESHA — The Catholic Memorial High School girls tennis team used its depth to take a 4-3 Classic 8 Conference victory over Waukesha West on Tuesday.


While the Crusaders did not win at the top singles or doubles flight, CMH’s Kate Mrocynski won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, Bridget Fredericks won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 and Tara Hoffman won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 4. The Crusaders’ No. 3 doubles team of Sarah Rosecky and Maureen LaMarche sealed the victory with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 victory.


West’s Brittany Asfeld won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles,
 Lynnie Lindblom and Ashley Solberg won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles and Christine Allen and Stacy Mellantine won 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
