Memorial rolls past Blackshirts
WAUKESHA – Freshman Stephanie Rechner went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs as Catholic Memorial beat Waukesha South 17-6 in a five-inning Classic 8 Conference game Thursday.
Sophomore Hannah Smith was 3 for 4 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs for the Crusaders, who improved to 5-9 overall and 4-6 in the Classic 8. Sophomore Brenna Lewandowski had a triple, three runs and two RBIs for CMH, and senior Mari Klement had a double and three runs.
South’s Rina Niehoff went 3 for 3 with a double, triple, two runs and an RBI. Callie Schaser had a triple, two runs and an RBI, and Meaghan Hannon had a double and two runs.
