Crusader's softball tops W West

CMH has big first inning

WAUKESHA – The Catholic Memorial softball team scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning en route to a 15-5 victory over Waukesha West in a Classic 8 Conference game Friday.


CMH freshman Steph Rechner led off the first with a home run. She went 2 for 3 with a home run, double,
 three runs scored and an RBI. Junior Mary Kate Sauer and sophomore Hannah Smith each went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Senior Mari Klement led the Crusaders at the plate going 3 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Sophomore Claire Lubben pitched all five inning and allowed seven hits, five walks and stuck out four.
