Crusaders in J-S rankings

Boys Tennis - Ranked #8 in the area (up from #10) and #4 in Division 2 statewide
Boys Golf - Ranked #2 in the area and #2 in the state
Girls Soccer - Ranked #1 in the area and #1 in the state.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Emily Cervantes, Catholic Memorial. Forget about any sophomore slump for the Crusaders striker. Cervantes helped Memorial start the season 7-0 by scoring 13 goals and giving out five assists. She had all three goals in a huge 3-2 win over Classic 8 Conference rival Arrowhead. The reigning Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association player of the year, Cervantes tallied 50 goals last season as the Crusaders won their second straight WIAA Division 2 state title.
POLL POSITIONS: Catholic Memorial is the highest-ranked Wisconsin side in the national polls. In the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, released April 8, the Crusaders were 14th in the nation and third in the Midwest region. DSHA was eighth in the region. The next NSCAA poll comes out Tuesday. In the Student Sports Fab 50 poll released April 15, Memorial is 27th in the nation and first in the state. DSHA is 47th and second in the state rankings.
