Crusader scientists advance in Bowl Series
National Science Bowl Regional Competition -
In the Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl Regional Competition, Catholic Memorial’s teams did an outstanding job against stiff competition from all over the State of Wisconsin.
The Science Bowl is a fast-paced Jeopardy style competition in which students answer questions from astronomy, advanced biology, advanced chemistry, calculus, earth science, energy, and physics.
Memorial’s teams advanced from the morning’s pool play, where the top two teams in each pool go on to the afternoon’s double elimination rounds, to finish second and fifth overall. The competition was so close that our team was tied with Appleton West after the first half of the final tiebreaker game.
Our 2nd place team players were Alexa Jaeger, Captain, Josh Zignego, Noah Krause, Aaron Siehr, and Jonathan Reitz. The 5th place team players were Breanna Aldred, captain, Marisa Ulrich, Josh
Kinsey, Molly Wetzel, and Chandler North.
Congratulations Crusader Scientists!
