CMH Service Club Thanksgiving meal for the community

from Mr. Jon Brzeski, CMH Director of Campus Ministry -
Fr. Paul,
Here are a few photos from the Thanksgiving dinner.

The Thanksgiving Dinner has been a longstanding tradition at Catholic Memorial. Service club officers lead the club in planning and preparation for the meal. On the day before Thanksgiving, the Maas family coordinated a team of student, parent, faculty and alumni volunteers who prepared a Thanksgiving dinner with all of the trimmings including the famous Mass mashed potatoes.
Catholic Memorial students and their families prepared and donated pies and desserts. Chef Jeff and Taher food service provided supplies and helped our cooks in the kitchen prior to the day of the meal. Sam’s Club, Pick N’ Save, and Sendyk’s provided gift cards and turkeys.

With the help of over 100 past, present, and future students and families, the hospitality was unmatched. Over 220 people were guests this year and all seemed to enjoy the evening. At the end of the day, when the clean-up was done, leftovers were taken to the Sienna House to ensure that nothing was wasted.

It was a joy to watch so many wonderful people working together to make this meal happen. All of this is an offering of thanksgiving for the bounty with which God has blessed us. The ability to break bread together and share in fellowship at this time of year is something for which we can be truly thankful. We give thanks for all who were able to join us last Wednesday to take part in our Catholic Memorial Family Thanksgiving Meal. May God continue to bless all of us.

God Bless,

Jon Brzeski
N.B. Just two days later, Jon and his wife Elizabeth celebrated the birth of their third child, Philip Valentine Brzeski.  Dad, mom, and both big sisters are overjoyed.  Baby and all are doing very well.
Congratulations Jon and Elizabeth!
