Catholic Memorial students honor fallen soldiers

March part of homecoming activities

WAUKESHA, Wis. —To honor the men for whom their school was founded, Catholic Memorial students marched to the city's war memorial Friday morning.
Catholic Memorial was built as a living memorial for 23 fallen WWII  soldiers, and since its inception, six alumni have died serving the United States in various conflicts.

Students took a moment to pause at the memorial and placed a prayer card into a chalice honoring the fallen. Each prayer card bore the name of one of the 29.

The war memorial is in Waukesha's Veterans Park.
