Boys XC take Sectional title

Memorial boys win Division 2 sectional 
Pewaukee boys, girls advance to state

WHITEWATER – The Catholic Memorial and Pewaukee high school boys cross country teams finished 1-2, and both qualified for state at a WIAA Division 2 sectional meet Saturday.

Memorial had 71 points to beat Pewaukee by three.

Pewaukee’s Robert Wagner was second, and teammate Kyle Turba was fifth. Memorial’s Jack Zwisler was third and teammate Evan Wetzel eighth.

Pewaukee won the girls competition with 70 points, while runner-up Deerfield had 108. Memorial girls finished fourth with 123 points.

Pewaukee’s Lisa Arzbecker won the girls race in 15:37, while teammate Ashton Keene was a close second.

Memorial’s Rachel Mlsna finished eighth and qualified for state as an individual.
