2 Crusaders named Top Senior Award Semi-Finalists

 

Congratulations to Catholic Memorial’s Alec Kocour and Noah Krause for being named a semi-finalists for Statewide Senior Football Player recognitions.

Kocour is in the running for the Jim Leonhard Award.  The Jim Leonhard Award is annually given to the top senior defensive back as part of the Wisconsin Sports Network Senior Football Awards.

The award is named after former Flambeau High School and University of Wisconsin athlete Jim Leonhard, who has gone on to great success in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Denver Broncos.

Krause is a semi-finalist for the Joe Thomas Award.  The Joe Thomas Award is given annually to the state's top senior offensive lineman as part of the WSN Senior Football Awards presented by Taco Bell. The award is named after former Brookfield Central and University of Wisconsin athlete Joe Thomas, who has gone on to great success in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns. After an All-American career at UW, Thomas has been a Pro Bowler with the Browns.
