CMH girls down Muskego in tennis dual 

MUSKEGO – The Catholic Memorial High School girls tennis team evened its Classic 8 Conference record at 1-1 with a 5-2 victory over Muskego on Tuesday.

The Nos. 1 singles and doubles matches each went three sets, with Memorial losing the first set of each match but rallying to win both. Senior Kelly Quartaro won 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while juniors Marissa Taugher and Millie Akre won 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Memorial’s other singles winners were senior Katie Fredericks, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3, and freshman Kate Mrochinski, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.

Memorial seniors Diane Heighway and Michaela Hoffman won 7-6, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Muskego’s winners were Kristen Kubel, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and Erica Baldwin and Sammy Spencer, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
