TRACK & FIELD:  CMH’s Tiahnybik wins two races

WHITEWATER – Cartholic Memorial High School senior Sam Tiahnybik won two races in a WIAA Division 2 sectional Thursday.

Tiahnybik won the 400meter dash in 48.66 seconds and the 200 in 22.09. He also finished second in the 100 (10.93) behind Brookfield Academy junior Ryan Send (10.83).

CMH sophomore Joe Novak won the 1,600 in 4:26.52.

Pewaukee senior T.J. Watt won the shot put at 60 feet, 2 inches, and he won discus at 156-0.

The Catholic Memorial girls won the 4x200 relay in 1:47.57, and the Brookfield Academy girls won the 4x100 relay in 50.79. Palmyra-Eagle senior Sam Morateck won the girls high jump at 5-4.


Catholic Memorial’s Tommy Mastoska qualified for the individual tournament in singles, while Matt and Mike Mirsberger qualified in doubles along with Brookfield Academy’s Bjorn Norderhaug and Ajay Doniparthi.
