CMH defeats West

WAUKESHA – The Catholic Memorial High School softball team overcame a 4-0 deficit with six runs in the third inning and went on to beat Waukesha West 13-4 in a Classic 8 Conference game at Infinity Field on Wednesday.

Sophomore Mary Kate Sauer had four of Memorial’s 15 hits, including a home run and two doubles. She drove in four runs and scored three times.

Junior Mari Klement had three hits including a double; freshman Hannah Smith had a home run and a double, drove in two runs and scored three times; while sophomore Quinn Schneider had two hits and two RBis as Memorial improved to 5-4 overall and in conference.

Junior Valeria Grundfelder had three of West’s nine hits, while senior Allie Ganswindt and junior MacKenzie Mehling each had two hits.

West committed five errors.
