OFFENSE

RUNNING BACK Matt Hubley, senior Catholic Memorial
Hubley (6-3, 205) led the Crusaders with 1,537 yards in being selected all-state by the coaches association. Hubley, a University of Wisconsin recruit, was a firstteam all-Classic 8 pick for statechampion Crusaders, ranking second in Waukesha County in scoring. He ran for 19 touchdowns.

LINEMAN Matt Degner, senior Catholic Memorial
Degner (6-3, 290) was a firstteam all-Classic 8 pick for the runner-up Crusaders.The right guard helped the Crusaders to the Division 3 state title. CMH had 3,011 yards of total offense, 2,275 coming on the ground. Degner was a two-year starter and team captain.


KICKER Mitch Meindel, senior Catholic Memorial
Meindel (6-2, 194) was a firstteam all-Classic 8 pick and received honorable mention allstate honors. Meindel made four field goals and 53 extra points for the state-champion Crusaders.A North Dakota recruit, Meindel booted a game-winning field goal as time expired in a Division 3 state quarterfinal against Wisconsin Lutheran. Also a receiver and defensive back, Meindel put 33 of his 53 kickoffs into the end zone.

DEFENSE

LINEBACKER Justin Dentici, senior Catholic Memorial
Dentici (6-0, 180) was a firstteam all-Classic 8 pick who had 65 tackles (28 solo). Dentici had 4 1/2 quarterback sacks, 2 1/2 tackles for a loss while forcing one fumble and recovering two for the Division 3 state champion.

Dentici helped the defense hold opponents to 14 points per game – a number inflated by the 50 scored by Division 1 champion Arrowhead. He had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery in the state title game.


BACK Alec Kocour, junior Catholic Memorial
Kocour (6-1, 180) was a firstteam all-Classic 8 pick. He had 71 tackles (42 solo) and seven interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. Kocour forced two fumbles and recovered one for the state-champion Crusaders. He received all-state honors by the coaches association.


PUNTER Mitch Meindel, senior Catholic Memorial
Meindel (6-2, 194) received honorable mention all-state for the state-champion Crusaders.

Meindel averaged more than 40 yards per punt while having none blocked. Also a receiver, defensive back and kicker, Meindel rarely left the field. He will kick at North Dakota.
