Start planning now for the Alumni B-Ball Tourney

We are just under two months away from a great annual event:

Friday, December 28
All games begin AFTER 5pm

This annual event is open to all CMH alumni who are looking to have fun and play some basketball.  You didn't have to have played play basketball while @ CMH to take part in this annual event!
Our goal is to have each graduation year represented with a team. If that's not possible, consider forming a team with another grad year. If you don't have a team or no one else from your grad year takes part don't worry, we'll find you a team.
More details will be forthcoming (pricing, activities, hospitality) shortly, but I wanted to invite you all to CMH for a night of regrouping with friends and to enjoy yourself while supporting CMH.
If you are interested in participating, and need help reaching out to your classmates, or if you have any questions, please contact me.
Register online today simply by clicking here!
Looking forward to seeing you...

Girls Rugby, 2nd in State!

from CMH Rugby Coach, John Waliszewski -

The Wisconsin High School Girls Rugby Championship Match was a tight first-half battle that kept the crowd and both sidelines on their feet.

CMH controlled the match in the opening first-half, but found themselves down 5-0 at the halftime break after some great continuity by the Dashers. DSHA made some halftime adjustments and scored in the first five-minutes of the second-half to take control of the match. Phenomenal defensive pressure from the Dashers probably turned the tide of the match in their favor.

Congrats to DSHA on a well-earned Championship and some excellent rugby and congratulations to the Crusaders on their back-to-back State Finals!

Looking ahead to a record number of IB Diploma candidates

Congratulations to the 50 Anticipated IB Diploma students from our Class of 2014

At this time, 50 students from the Class of 2014 will work toward earning the International Baccalaureate Diploma, one of the most prestigious academic honors that a high school student can earn.
The faculty and staff at CMH will vigorously provide support for each student’s pursuit of the IB Diploma.  We ask that all members of our community pray for these 50 intrepid scholars as they embark on this challenging and enriching journey.  The Class of 2014 will attempt to break the record of 46 IB Diplomas earned that the Class of 2009 set a few years ago.  Good luck Class of 2014!

CMH Football Team Mass

On the day of the Level Two play off game against Pewaukee, the CMH varsity football players gathered for a team chapel mass.

What makes this even more impressive is the fact that there is no school today at CMH.

I am constantly impressed by our kids and their growing sense of faith, and their commitment to school.

As is the tradition, to finish the mass, we prayed the CMH Team Prayer --

Heavenly Father,

Our Life, Health, and Abilities are gifts from you.
Give us the courage to devote each,

not to our own gain, but to your glory.

Let us compete today with all our heart, mind, body, and soul.

If you choose, allow victory to come as a blessing and reward;
but, if necessary, assist us to learn integrity in defeat.

Keep all players safe this day.

Allow us to give our best as a memorial
to those who have given their all for our sake.

Leader:/ St. Sebastian, patron of athletes,
R:/ Pray for Us.

L:/ Our Lady of Memorial, R:/ Pray for Us.

L:/ Our Lady of Victory, R:/ Pray for Us

L:/ We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Girls Rugby finishes 2nd in Conference

Saturday Oct 20th

Catholic Memorial 17
Vernon 0

Memorial became the second team in WGR history to make two consecutive finals with a shutout victory over the Harlequins in Vernon.  The result was in doubt for much of the game as both sides battled back and forth.  Vernon had a scoring opportunity in the first half, but their field goal attempt went astray.  A fierce nine-minute try-line stand that went up until halftime, might have been the sequence of the match; Memorial held their ground and the game was tied at half.  In the second half, the Crusaders wore down Vernon and put in three tries to advance to the finals.

Tries:  Myra Dillett (10th), Maggie Wesolowski (11th), Rebecca Haight (11th)
Conv:  Molly Langhenry (11th)

Conference Standings

Divine Savior Holy Angels 7-0
Catholic Memorial 6-1
Vernon 5-2
Kettle Moraine 4-3
Brookfield 2-4
Oak Creek 1-5

Fond Du Lac 0-7

Catholic Memorial Secures Playoff Bid With Homecoming Game Win
Most high school football teams learned their playoff fates Friday, but a few teams are still fighting for a postseason berth when the regular season ends this weekend.
Catholic Memorial High School shut out Waukesha North High School during the Crusaders’ homecoming football game Friday night 55-0.

With the win, Catholic Memorial secures its spot in the WIAA playoffs. The Crusaders take on Kettle Moraine High School on Friday.

Meanwhile, Waukesha West High School, the Classic 8 Division champions last year, is still fighting for a playoff bid. Waukesha West lost Thursday night 7-52 against undefeated Arrowhead High School. If Waukesha West beats conference winless Waukesha North on Friday, the football team will secure a playoff spot.

Like North, Waukesha South’s out of the playoff consideration. The team lost to Mukwonago High School on Friday 14-43. South takes on Muskego High School on Friday.

Al's Run Follow-Up!

CMH senior Andy Stasik, with classmates Josh Gossett, Jake Tom, the CMH Pom and Dance Team, and the infamous Racing Sausages at the 2012 Al's Run for Children's Hospital
Fr. Paul,

I know this is after the fact and I apologize for the delay but we were trying to see if someone from the Poms group had a better picture from Al's run & walk with Andy... but as it turned out - we had the better picture - it was so quick when they decided to pose with the racing sausages so it was a fast decision and one of those "look over here" moments.

Below (on the left) a picture from the first time that we met Andy's donor, Mary, back in 1997 and then (on the right)  this year had to take a follow-up picture 15 years later.  It turned out to be a wonderful day and Andy wanted to say thanks to all for their support and prayers.  Also, he did reach his team goal and raised over $3000 for Children's Hospital.
