Memories of Operation Michael 2012

I wanted to share a few things with you about Operation Michael. Here are a few pictures from the night and also a letter that we received from Repairers of the Breach, who we donated $500 to. We donated the money we had raised through our bake sale and donations during Star Search on Thursday, March 8th, which was both our box night and also a match day at Repairers, so our donation that night was matched. Along with the money, we also gave them 2 garbage bags full of socks that were donated during Star Search. In addition, we will be donating $150 to the Hebron House, which is money that was raised at the Family Mass and Breakfast.

Our students did a wonderful job of representing CMH and our motto, Caritas in Omnibus, that night and gained a lot from their experience. They gained a perspective on homelessness both by sleeping in a box and by hearing from 2 men who were formally homeless. They offered wonderful insights during their prayer service reflections and during the group activities. And they helped local organizations by raising money and supplies.
