Crusaders look to be rebuilding

WAUKESHA - It could be a rebuilding season for the Catholic Memorial High School girls tennis team.

The returning letterwinners from last year's team, which finished third in both the Classic 8 conference and tournament, are seniors Lauren Mueller at third singles and Gabrielle Houk at second singles. Juniors Sydney Royston at first singles and Elizabeth Diedrich and Katie Ness at first doubles also lettered a year ago.

Memorial coach Carl Veenendaal said freshman fourth singles player Kelly Quartaro, the senior second doubles duo of Kate Dwyer and Ali Mueller and the third doubles team of freshman Marissa Taugher and junior Emily Benz have shown promise.
