CMH Girls Rout Brookfield Academy

WAUKESHA – The Catholic Memorial High School girls basketball team scored 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters and beat Brookfield Academy 82-43 in a nonconference game Saturday.

Memorial’s previous high point total this season was 69. Memorial junior Lauren Mueller scored a gamehigh and season-high 20 points, making all four of her 2-point shots and 4 of 7 3-points shots. All four of the 3-pointers she made came in the third period when she scored 14 points.

Her twin sister Alison added 13 points, while senior Jenny Benash added 15 points and eight assists, junior Katie Mueller had 12 points and seven rebounds and freshman Cari Bodus had 10 points for Memorial, 9-11 overall. Brookfield Academy, 9-9 overall, was led by junior Eimile Pesch’s 16 points.
