Yesterday's All School Mass

for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

In spite of the cold, the entire student body, faculty and staff of CMH made its monthly trek over to St. Mary's Parish Church for an all-school liturgy.

We were pleased to have with us Deacon Larry Norman from St. Paul, Genesee Depot. Deacon Larry preached the homily and served at the altar for the mass. As with all representatives from our many supporting parishes, his participation was greatly appreciated.

By virtue decree of the First Council of Baltimore in 1846, the Bishops of the United States invoked the Blessed Virgin Mary in her Immaculate Conception as principal Patron and protector of the United States. This designation was confirmed by Pope Pius IX on February 7, 1847.
