CMH's Trevor Novotny named State's Top VB Player

Novotny named state’s top boys volleyball player

WAUKESHA – Catholic Memorial junior outside hitter Trevor Novotny was named the state’s boys volleyball player of the year by the Wisconsin Boys Volleyball Coaches Association. Novotny, who led the Crusaders to the WIAA state tournament, led the team with 392 kills before the tournament. He also had a team-high 58 aces. Memorial coach Mike Hanneman was named the Coach of the Year, while senior libero Dan Casper was a first-team selection. Kettle Moraine senior outside hitter Greg Duma was a second-team pick.
