CMH takes State Honors One More Time

This time it was the CMH Drama Department's production of "The Miracle Worker" as it was presented at the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association statewide one-act competition and festival.

Holding their awards are Nico Fernandez, Alex Gromacki, Mr. Andacht, Megan Miller, Maria Stout, and Charlie Akre.


A report from the Festival at UW-Oshkosh --

The drama department again represented Catholic Memorial with distinction. For the ninth year in a row Catholic Memorial took home all of the major awards that the festival presents. Following a standing ovation from a full house of their peers, the Memorial cast was presented with more awards than any other school at the festival. The following five actors won outstanding acting awards Maria Stout, Megan Miller, Charlie Akre, Alex Gromacki, Nico Fernandez. The five acting awards were again more than any other school earned. The cast was given a outstanding acting award for their ensemble work. Mr. Chris Andacht received an outstanding directing award. Finally the cast and crew was given the festivals highest honor for their production of 'The Miracle Worker' when they received the Critics Choice Award.

The full house erupted with a standing ovation immediately as the lights came down on the production.

Job well done. Congrats to the drama team. We are so proud of everyone of you. We look forward to see more shows. Melissa Mascari did a fantastic job as usual. I enjoy seeing her act with her heart really into it. She is so good. And I love hearing her Beautiful voice when she sings.
