Catholic Memorial Girls' Soccer Team Adds Academic Honor to Championship Season

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced today that the Catholic Memorial girls' soccer team has earned the 2009-10 NSCAA/adidas Girls Team Academic Award for the twelfth consecutive year, earning a team GPA of 3.71, which is the highest GPA for an award winner in Wisconsin.

Coach John Burke said, "I'm proud of the conference and state championships, but most important of all is this academic honor for the team and the inspiring work my players do when they serve children with special needs in the TOPSoccer program on Saturday mornings." The student-athletes of the CMH girls soccer program have earned seven state titles, twelve conference championships, and twelve team academic awards.

Recent graduates from the CMH girls' soccer team have attended the University of Notre Dame, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and Dartmouth College.
