Another trip to State

this time for a member of the CMH Girls Swim Team

CMH’s Meinholz among winners

CUDAHY – New Berlin West senior Corey Wannamaker, Catholic Memorial junior Anna Meinholz, New Berlin Eisenhower junior Alli Bellford and New Berlin West junior Lindsey Rodenkirk each won sectional events Saturday to qualify for this weekend’s WIAA Division 1 girls swimming and diving state meet in Madison.

Wannamaker won the 100 freestyle in 53.79 and was third in the 50 freestyle, Meinholz won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.88 and was second in the 100 breaststroke, Bellford won the 50 freestyle in 24.06 and was second in the 100 freestyle and Rodenkirk won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.09. Eisenhower also won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:41.71 and was third in the 400 freestyle relay.

Eisenhower junior Leah Fraleigh was second in diving, Pewaukee junior Lacey Leist was third in the 200 freestyle, Eisenhower freshman Steffi Durley was second in the 100 butterfly and Pewaukee sophomore Claire Fernandez was third in the 500 freestyle. Fort Atkinson won the 12-team sectional, with Eisenhower fourth, Pewaukee seventh, New Berlin West eighth and Catholic Memorial ninth.
