Crusader Soccer alum recognized

from the Lipscomb University Athletics website --

The Lipscomb Bisons won both of their games this weekend in the Belmont Invitational but no one is getting overconfident.

“We saw a lot of good stuff, but we saw some areas we can work on to get better which is also good,” Bisons’ coach Charles Morrow said. “We are not going to let ourselves get too happy.

“We know there is more there. We left some goals on the field. We certainly have some work to do before this weekend.”

The Bisons jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off Centenary for a 3-1 win Sunday afternoon in the final round at the Whitten Soccer Complex. Both Lipscomb and Belmont were unbeaten in the tournament. Belmont won the tie-breaker with seven goals to six for Lipscomb.

Garret Pettis, Miguel DaSilva and Joey Chiappetta [CMH '10] were named to the all-tournament team.
