All-School Mass -- Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mother

The Church has celebrated Mary's birth since at least the sixth century. A September birth was chosen because the Eastern Church begins its Church year with September. The September 8 date helped determine the date for the feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 (nine months earlier).
.
Each Marian feast day represents something very special for Catholic Memorial High School as we are dedicated under the general patronage of Mary, Our Lady of Victory, and our chapel is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary.

Joining the CMH community for this celebration are Dean Terry Starnes, deacon at St. Mary, Waukesha Parish, and Fr. Philip Bogacki, associate pastor of St. John Vianney, Brookfield.

Senior, Luc Zimmerman proclaims the first reading of the mass.
