Catholic Memorial rallies for 2-1 soccer victory

WAUKESHA – The Catholic Memorial High School boys soccer team rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat Grafton 2-1 in its nonconference season opener Wednesday. Junior forward Ryan Allen scored the tying goal in the 65th minute, assisted by senior forward Ryan Zielinski.

The game-winning goal was scored by junior forward Mark Samuels in the 73rd minute, assisted by junior midfielder Jonah Sutherland.

After the game it was a pleasure to host the varsity boys, parents, and coaches at the rectory for a cook-out. The young men ate fast. It seems that even with first day "classes" only lasting ten minutes, they already had homework.
