Local students attending business program

More than a dozen area students are participating in a statewide program designed to help them sharpen their business skills. They are among the 130-plus state students who are participating in the Business World program at Edgewood College in Madison this week.

During the Business World core program, student participants will be divided into teams that function as an imaginary company for the program. With the task of turning their company into a financial success, they will create a unique product, develop marketing strategies and design a commercial. In addition, students interact with guest speakers, tour local companies and compete in an online business simulation.

Of the twelve students coming from the Waukesha area, three represent CMH in the core program are -- Kathryn Blais, Victoria Tallinger, and Brittany Weber.

Business World also has an advanced program component, where students who successfully completed the core program the year before may return for a more advanced session. Only five area students returning for the advanced Business World program. Three come from CMH -- Rebekah Melcher, Daniel Suprenant, and Lucas Zimmermann.
