Classic 8 Baseball

WAUKESHA – Sophomore Charlie Walsh threw a twohitter to lead the Catholic Memorial High School baseball team to a 16-0 Classic 8 Conference victory over Waukesha South in five innings at Frame Park on Friday.

Walsh struck out five and allowed no walks for the Crusaders, who improved to 8-12 in league play. He also went 2 for 4 at the plate.

Junior Sean Waite went 2 for 3 with three RBIs for CMH, senior J.C. Petersen went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, senior Casey Kula went 3 for 4 and junior Matt Groehler and senior Tom West had two hits apiece.

South fell to 8-22 overall and 5-14 in league play.
