Girls Soccer clinch third straight conference title

CMH wraps up third straight title

WAUKESHA – The Catholic Memorial High School girls soccer team won its third straight Classic 8 Conference title Tuesday with a 6-0 victory over Waukesha North.

The Crusaders (17-2-1 overall, 6-0-1 Classic 8) did not allow a goal in seven league games, outscoring Classic 8 opponents 20-0.

Goalkeepers Monica Gonyo, a junior, and Greta Davis, a sophomore, combined for CMH’s 11th straight shutout, which is a school record.

Senior midfielder Natalie Lechner had two goals and an assist for CMH, and junior forward Nikki Condit had a goal and two assists. Freshman midfielder Ava Olson had a goal and assist, and senior midfielder Amy Bennett and junior defender Val Gonyo scored a goal apiece. Freshman forward Julie Fischer and freshman defender Carina Krausert each had an assist.
