They just keep on coming...

Freeman report, Daniel Mike on T.J. Bray --

Viewpoint

T.J. Bray becomes more and more impressive to me the more I learn about him.

He’s obviously a tremendous basketball player – The Freeman’s Player of the Year and a Princeton University recruit – but that’s only a small portion of what makes Bray such a tremendous person.

He holds a 4.2 grade-point average at Catholic Memorial and is a dedicated volunteer outside the classroom.

He’s had to deal with a lot of heartache as well. His mother died unexpectedly when he was in eighth grade. During the Crusaders’ state-title run, he found out his grandfather died just before a sectional semifinal game and his grandmother died just after the Crusaders’ state championship victory.

He scored 30 points in a hardfought victory over the defending state champions the night his grandfather died, and he knows his grandmother was able to watch his state title performance on television and receive a text message from him after the game.

I wish Bray all the best at Princeton and beyond. I have little doubt he’ll continue to be a tremendous individual and be successful in whatever path he chooses after college.
