My April Newsletter Column

for your advance preview...

Dear Friends:

Oh, what a time we are having here at CMH! The great victory of the Boys Basketball Team brings us to four state championships so far this year (this includes Girls Volleyball, Boys Downhill Skiing, and Senior John Luterbach as individual Boys Cross Country state champion). The recent musical, White Christmas, continued the tradition of great CMH musicals; and music and band have had successes at the initial WSMA competitions.

Now add to all of this last weekend’s 2010 Crusader Auction. It was certainly a celebration where we were all “Feelin’ Groovy”…and it showed in the enthusiasm of the community gathered. As much of the world still struggles with fundraising, all of you gathered together and made this an extremely successful event. With the combination of the raffle, auction, and Fund the Future appeal, we raised over $167,000! That is a forty percent increase over last year.

My sincerest thanks go out to the auction co-chairs, Angelique Klimara & Mary Pat Henschel and all of the great volunteers who made this event happen. Thanks also to Marguerite, Monica, Lynn in the Development Office and the CMH faculty and staff members who helped make the difference. But the greatest thanks will have to go to all of you who volunteered, attended, made bids, and made pledges. It is this participation that reflects the greatest sense of the CMH family. THANK YOU!

Looking ahead, great things are coming – our faithful celebration of Easter, Prom, Celebrating Lives of Service, Art Show, Graduation! All of these are opportunities for CMH to shine. We shine in our priorities of Christian faith. We shine in our school spirit. We shine in all our accomplishments. We shine in our great students.

Please be assured of my prayers for you and your family as we all celebrate the Sacred Triduum and move into the Easter Season.

Our Lady of Memorial, pray for us!
