Bray named to All-State Team

Bray, Mills first-team all-state

WAUKESHA – Seniors T.J. Bray and Ben Mills, who led their respective Catholic Memorial and Arrowhead boys basketball teams to state championship last week, have been given first-team berths on the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association all-state team.

Bray, who also was given the 2010 Mr. Basketball award Saturday, heads the Division 2 team, while Mills is on the Division 1 team. Sophomore Jean-Pierre Tokoto of Menomonee Falls and seniors Vander Blue of Madison Memorial and Jordan Mach of Antigo were unanimous selections for the Division 1 team.

The rest of the Division 1 team consists of Elgin Cook, Milwaukee Hamilton; Paul Jesperson, Merrill; Marquis Mason, Madison East; Brandon Pritzl, De Pere; Chip Rank, Cedarburg; and Jake Schalow, Kaukauna. Bray and seniors Austin Armga of Waupun, Flavien Davis of Wisconsin Lutheran and Josh Gasser of Port Washington are unanimous selections for the Division 2 team, that also includes Brandon Gries, Kiel; Trevor Hass, New London; Donnie Hissa, Northwestern; Kevin Hurd, Portage; Calahan Skogman, Seymour; and J.J. Panoske, Brodhead.
Seniors Derek Schell of Catholic Memorial and Mitch Sperka of New Berlin Eisenhower received honorable mention on the Division 2 team. Senior Evan Richard of Cuba City was the lone unanimous selection for the Division 3 team. Brookfield Academy senior Troy Huff also was named to the first team along with Jordan Reetz, Fall Creek; Ben Stelzer, Manitowoc Roncalli; Alex Erickson, Darlington; Steve McWhorter, Racine St. Catherine’s; Ryan Sygulla, Whitehall; Cody Odegaard, Poynette; Daulton Levra, Hurley; and Cody Hanke, Marathon.

Senior Kyle Kelm of Randolph is the lone unanimous selection for the Division 4 team, that also includes Curtis Allbaugh, North Crawford; Brad Brooks, Green Lake; Logan Johnson, Barneveld; Tyler Ketz, Clayton; David Neis, Benton; Tyler Ritschard, Monticello; Matt Savatski, Benton; Chad Strehlow, Suring; Lee Veldkamp, Sheboygan Christian; and Kaylor Zimmerman, NEW Lutheran. – Freeman Staff
