TWIRP tonight!

Ours students gathered tonight for one of CMH's largest dances - TWIRP. Some places call it Turnabout, and today's teenagers have never heard of Sadie Hawkins, but the idea is all the same.

In a change from the norm of the last few years, tonight the students are dancing to a live band, not a DJ. Some kids prefer the dance music of a DJ and even skipped the dance complaining that they would not hear their preferred dance music and would not be able to easily dance the same dances that they think are the norm. But, those who skipped, missed out.

As the lead singer of the band told me during their break, "Most kids don't know what to do at real dance concert."

For the time I was there, they certainly seemed to be having fun.
