County athletes get all-state berths
Four local soccer players on first team

WAUKESHA – Four Waukesha County female soccer players have received firstteam berths on the 2009 Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association all-state team. Two are from state Division 2 runner-up Catholic Memorial and one from state Division 1 runner-up Waukesha West.

CMH’s Rasmussen gets tennis honor

WAUKESHA – Senior Kevin Rasmussen from Catholic Memorial High School has been named tennis Player of the Year in the Classic 8 Conference.

The Journal-Sentinel All-Area Track & Field Teams

First Team, Boys 3,200m -- CMH junior, John Luterbach
Won the Division 2 state title (9:35.24) and also won the Classic 8 Conference title with the state's seventh-best time (9:27.99)
Second Team, Boys 1,600m -- CMH junior, John Luterbach
Won Division 2 state (4:21.68)
Honorable Mention, Boys Shot Putt -- CMH senior, Chris Schrubbe
Honorable Mention, Boys Discus -- CMH senior, Chris Schrubbe

Honorable Mention, Girls 3200m -- CMH junior, Morgan Sickels
