Dear CMH Community –

I write to you to announce that Dr. Mark Schmitt has decided to move on from CMH to other educational endeavors. Beginning on July 1st of this year he will take over as Principal of Delavan-Darien High School in Walworth County.

Dr. Schmitt is to be thanked for his educational efforts here at CMH. The introduction and grant-writing for the pre-engineering program, Project Lead the Way, as well as common course curriculum and common assessments will have lasting impacts on our school.

I have already been in contact with the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to begin the search for a new principal. A search committee consisting of faculty, staff, parents, and board members will be formed soon. Held before them will be the continued growth of the Mission and Vision of Catholic Memorial as a leader among schools in Waukesha County, and the premiere Catholic high school of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

I express to Mark our shared thanks for his service to us, and offer our prayers to him and his family as new challenges are taken on. I ask your continued prayerful and active support as CMH begins this search process.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Very Reverend Paul Hartmann
