CMH students speak about International Outreach Club activities at Gesu Parish

.
Last Sunday, juniors Jackie Gigot and Ashley Selas went to Marquette University to present to Gesu parishioners about the situation in Uganda that is being given attention by the International Outreach organization at Catholic Memorial.
.
They presented for about twenty minutes on the origins of the war in Uganda and about some of the atrocities that have happened and continue to happen there.
.
Sr. Mary Rose Attu, who is pursuing graduate studies at Marquette, followed their presentation speaking from her personal experience having grown up in Uganda. She expressed her gratitude that the youth of the Church are being attentive to the needs of the world and are taking action.
.
Our students then answered the questions of socially conscious adults of Gesu Parish. Both Jackie and Ashley had an impressive command of the topic. I am told that Sr. Mary Rose Attu was quite impressed by how accurately our young ladies described the situation in Uganda.
.
Members of the CMH INternational Outreach Club want to stay in touch with the “Invisible Children” of Uganda. Learn about their commitment to bring prayer and raise awareness and funds to ease the plight of these Ugandan children.
.
Thank you Jackie & Ashley
